Class Description: Handbuilding is an ancient technique used to create pots and sculptures without a potter's wheel. You can use these skills to create a variety of objects, both utilitarian and sculptural. You will leave this class with an understanding of pinched, coil, and slab construction; how to use equipment such as a slab roller and extruder; and surface treatments like creating texture in clay, with a focus on vessels. This class is open to beginners and advanced students.
