Together we will cover the basics of hand-building, an ancient technique used to create pots and sculptures without a potter's wheel. You can use these skills to create a variety of objects, both utilitarian and sculptural. You will leave this class with an understanding of pinched, coil, and slab construction; how to use equipment such as a slab roller and extruder; and surface treatments like creating texture in clay, with a focus on vessels. This class is perfect for those looking to see quick results and is open to beginners and advanced students.

Prerequisites:
No prior experience with clay necessary; open to all.

Cancellation policy:
Full refunds are available for classes cancelled 30 before the start date of your class.
Classes cancelled after 30-14 days before the start date of your course will receive a 50% refund.
Classes cancelled within 14 days of the start date of your class are not eligible for a refund.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather or an instructor emergency will be added on to the back end of the series.
We are not able to offer make up classes for students who miss a class session.
