Cover the basics of handbuilding to create both functional vessels and sculptural forms. You’ll learn techniques including pinching, coiling, slab construction, and kurinuki. The class will also explore how to use equipment such as a slab roller and extruder, and how to develop your aesthetic using household items. Focus on creating dimensional textures and alternative surface treatments.

Prerequisites:
No prior experience with clay necessary; open to all.
Cancellation policy:
Full refunds are available for classes cancelled 30 before the start date of your class.
Classes cancelled after 30-14 days before the start date of your course will receive a 50% refund.
Classes cancelled within 14 days of the start date of your class are not eligible for a refund.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather or an instructor emergency will be added on to the back end of the series.
We are not able to offer make up classes for students who miss a class session.
