THIS CLASS IS PART OF AN 8 WEEK SERIES
Together we will cover the basics of hand building to create functional vessels and sculptural forms. You will leave this class with an understanding of pinched, coil, slab, and kurinuki construction techniques; how to use equipment such as a slab roller and extruder; and how to utilize household items to develop your own aesthetic. Creating dimensional textures will be at the forefront of our class, and we will explore alternative surface treatments to enhance them.
All six, eight, and ten-week clay classes included unlimited Open Studio time for the duration of the class, 12 lbs of fresh clay, and shared shelf space. No prior experience with clay necessary; this course is open to everyone.
