About the Poughkeepsie Farm Project:
Poughkeepsie Farm Project began in 1999 as a small community farm rooted in education and food justice, starting with just 15 CSA members on 3 acres of land leased from Vassar College. Today it spans 12 acres and serves over 500 households, growing more than 180,000 pounds of produce annually - over 30,000 pounds of which is donated - while leading sustainable agriculture and year-round community education.
