SERGER WORKSHOP

Class Description:
Intimidated by using your home serger machine? Overwhelmed by threading it with multiple threads? This is the class for you! 
In this intro class students will bring in their sergers and learn how to thread them, how to get started finishing seams, and how to sew with different fabrics including knit fabrics.
This is not a project based workshop however, students leave with the basic knowledge of how to use their Serger machines at home confidently.

Please Note:
Students must bring their own serger with all its parts - plug, pedal, needles, owners manual, plus serger thread for their machine (typically 3-4 cones such as the brand Maxi-Lock although any brand you prefer is fine).  

Included:
We will have an assortment of fabrics to practice on but students are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience sewing is helpful, no prior experience on a serger style machine is needed.

Cancellation policy:
Full refunds are available for classes cancelled 30 before the start date of your class.
Classes cancelled after 30-14 days before the start date of your course will receive a 50% refund.
Classes cancelled within 14 days of the start date of your class are not eligible for a refund.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather or an instructor emergency will be added on to the back end of the series.
We are not able to offer make up classes for students who miss a class session.
