CLAY WORKS

Clay Works is a volunteer- run community studio located at 481 Main Street in Poughkeepsie N.Y, offering weekly classes & workshops taught by local experts.

The clay studio is the home of all things clay and ceramic! We run clay classes out of this space, and host open studio sessions. 

Our bright and well lit studio is equipped with eleven pottery wheels, four large hand-building tables, a slab roller, an extruder, three electric kilns, and an array of community tools.

Discover the perfect space to continue honing your craft at Fall Kill Creative Works! Open Studio offers a welcoming environment for self-guided work, complete with access to community tools, house glazes, and a variety of equipment including pottery wheels, a slab roller, and an extruder.

CLAY WORKS CLASSES

We offer a variety of ceramics classes in wheel-throwing, hand-building, and everything in between! All six and eight-week clay classes include:

  • Unlimited Open Studio time for the duration of the class

  • 12 lbs fresh clay

  • Access to all our studio glazes

  • shared shelf space

Participation in a ceramics class does not include firing fees.

GLEBE HOUSE

The Glebe House is where you will find almost all of our non-clay classes- things like weaving, dyeing, printmaking, sewing, gardening, quilting- Fall Kill offers a wide range of classes at Glebe

  • Weekly classes and workshops taught by local experts

  • Features an historic barn loom and a variety of weaving, sewing, dying and quilting materials.
